Since 1906, we’ve partnered with diverse, low-income communities to help people thrive—regardless of their income, race, or immigration status. Neighborhood House Services Overview
Early Childhood Education
Neighborhood House offers comprehensive early learning programs for children from prenatal to age 5, focused on school readiness and family engagement. Services include:
- Prenatal education and support

Youth and Family Services

Employment and Adult Education

Housing Stability and Homelessness Prevention

The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) helps older adults and people with disabilities live independently and with dignity through:

- Workgroups and support groups
Leadership
Janice Deguchi
Executive Director
Bio
Janice Deguchi has served as Executive Director of Neighborhood House since 2019, leading efforts to advance racial equity, expand early learning facilities, and secure millions in additional annual funding. A third-generation Japanese American and lifelong Seattle resident, Janice brings over 25 years of experience in workforce development, early learning, senior care, and youth services. Her commitment to social justice spans both her professional and community work, including leadership roles on several nonprofit boards and advocacy efforts for early childhood education and wage equity.
