Encourage your child to find more shapes around your home. Then, ask using open-ended questions what shape do you think the cereal box is, or the plates, and the table, and so on.

Introduction to Graphics Practice Level 1.
In graphics practice, the children develop fine motor and self-regualation skills while they practice forming graphical marks and shapes they will need for wrting. They do this by drawing specific figures on whiteboards, stopoing and stating in response to musical cues. The point of Graphics Practice is threefold: following directions, making a figure or shape, and stopping in response to an auditory cue. Last Monday we started recognizing the letter Aa and the sound. Here are some examples of art!

En la práctica de gráficos, los niños desarrollan habilidades motoras finas y de autorregulación mientras practican la formación de marcas y formas gráficas que necesitarán para escribir. Before reading the story, take a walk and collect different kind of leaves, pinecones, small rocks, sticks or any other materials you could use to form people or animals.
Then, set up all the materials you collected on your walk; and let your child use her imagination and without any help let her solve the problem of how to form the people or animals like in the story. Check the work samples below!
