Teacher: Laura Martin Fall 2021
WEEK: October 11, 2021
Hello Parents,
Welcome to this week’s home learning Newsletter. Please read through these notes as there is some important information!
If you are new to our class, we need to make sure your child has a vision and hearing check. Below are the dates of vision and hearing clinics. If you haven’t already done so, please plan on taking your child to one of the screenings. Thank you so much!
We have 2 more screening dates scheduled for October:
Thursday, October 21 @ New Holly 9:00 – 2:00
Thursday, October 28 @ High Point 9:00 – 2:00
I also want to thank all the parents that are able to help their child come to our socialization time on Teams! It has been so fun to help the children say hello to each other and begin learning names. Last week we practiced circles again and this we will practice the straight lines of a square and the letter L.
OUR CLASS Socialization THIS WEEK WILL BE 11:00 – 11:30 ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 21. Watch your email for the Teams link Thursday morning!
Also we will have a Parent’s Meeting on Monday October 25th. I will let you know the time soon.
I look forward to visiting with you this week!

- the kitchen to the living room?
- your bedroom to the bathroom?
Do you have stairs? How many steps are there?

GAMES: FAMILY HIDE AND SEEK
Try a family game of HIDE and SEEK. This is a great game indoors or out. One person covers their eyes and counts while the others hide.
CHANGE IT UP: The one covering her eyes doesn’t have to only count numbers! Other ideas are:
- Sing the ABC song two times (with eyes closed)
- Clap their hands ___ times. 50? 30? 20? (with eyes closed)
- Do 50 jumping jacks (eyes open for safety, turn back to other players)
