“On Sunday, April 25 the 34th District Democrat’s Social Justice and Equity Committee partnered with Childress Nursing Services and Neighborhood House to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to our BIPOC community members directly in the district and in their neighborhoods. This is something sorely needed given the state of the vaccination rate. BIPOC community members experience barriers to accessing the vaccine that other do not have to deal with. Cultural and language barriers add to the problem.
Being able to collaborate with two great organizations on providing vaccines directly to those most in need was a very rewarding experience. We enjoyed the opportunity to partner with both Childress Nursing Services and Neighborhood House, two exceptional organizations, to give back to the community in a direct way.”
