Is my gift tax deductible?
Neighborhood House is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record.
Can my gift be matched?
Many employers offer gift matching programs. Please be sure to keep your emailed receipt and check with your employer about multiplying your impact.
Will I receive an end of the year tax statement?
Yes, please expect to receive a tax statement with a summary of your yearly gifts between February and the end of March.
Will I receive a tax receipt for each monthly gift?
Every month you will receive an automatic email stating that your gift has been processed.
Can I change, pause, or end a monthly gift?
Yes, please give us a call at 206-461-8430 or send us an email at development@nhwa.org if you would like to change, pause, or end a monthly gift.

Give Stock
We’re able to accept gifts in the form of stock, government(including municipal) dept and corporate debt through the Depository Trust Company (DTC). For security, settlement and reduced paperwork, electronic transfer through the DTC is preferred. This can be arranged from most brokerage accounts. Gifts of stocks and mutual funds are an extremely tax-efficient gifting option. You can access our account information and work with a broker to complete your donation or email us at development@nhwa.org to coordinate.
