- Movement: Make a tight rope by laying tape down on your carpet. Teach your preschooler to walk across it without falling off, and if he does — the tickle monster gets him!

Literacy: Beginning letter-sound recognition activity
Step 1: Identify the 2 items in photo
Step 2: Say it out loud
Step 3: The Help child read sentence, focus on underlined word and review initial let-sound recognition
Step 4: Draw picture of underlined and copy word on a separate piece of paper.
(1-3 times a week for 20 minutes)
Math / Science
Math: Family age activity
- Ask each family member how old they are and write it down. (help if needed)
- Then draw dots for each age
- If age 10 draw 10 dots
- Finally sort the numbers from youngest age to oldest age
- Hint smallest to biggest
(10 minutes 3 times a week)
Science: What Melts in The Sun
In this activity you will test different items and see if it melts in the sun:
Materials:
- Household items (legos, ice, wooden blocks, paper, butter/cheese (small), quarter, small piece of soap.
How:
- Place items outside in the sun for 30 minutes
- Make a guess on which item will melt and which one will not melt.
- Go back outside and see what happened
- Talk about which one melted and which one did not.
