Fun at the ocean

TEACHER TINA

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and you are able to get outside since our weather is much nicer now.

Math / Science

Rock collection

Gather some rocks that you find outside while on a walk or when you are playing outside. You can also sort them by color or by size. You can also talk about the different attributes of the rocks you have collected. We can share our collections in our next video call.

Here is an example of a way to do an outdoor scavenger hunt. Enjoy the walk and explore the world around you.

Heres a video of Teacher Tina doing a color follow along scavenger hunt. Click the link below.

Movement / Play

There are so many things you can do outside.

Try to get your children outside for at least 30 minutes each day.

1: Running and chasing friends.

2: Kicking a ball

3: Having a race.

4: Going on a walk.

5: Playing games like Simon says, ring around the rosy, stop and go. I spy with my little eye.

Language / Literacy

Encourage your child to read to you or listen to you read to them at least 30 minutes each day.
