Science/Art: Mud Painting Activity
Materials:
- Painting tool (can use hands or woodchips)
- Soil
- Water
- Paper (can use cement outside)
Step 1: Grab a handful of soil and try to draw something.
Step 2: Now add water to your soil and try to draw something.
Step 3: Use your hand or wood chip as your painting tool to draw the thing you see outside.
Questions: Which was your favorite, dry soil painting or wet soil painting? How did it feel on your hands? What did the water do to the soil when you mixed it together?
