Volume 14

April 30, 2021

Hello Parents,

Our leadership has asked that we pass along a reminder to parents that the tablets are to be used with adult supervision.  There have been instances of broken tablets and it is a difficult process to get one replaced.  Thank you for being careful!

Also, next week, we will not have class on Monday or Tuesday, May 3rd and 4th.   I have to be out of town and will miss the kids. We will have class Wednesday and Thursday only next week.

Happy Learning!

The Garden Song

Inch by inch, row by row

I’m gonna make this garden grow

All it takes is a rake and a hoe and a piece of fertile ground

Inch by inch row by row

Someone bless these seeds I sow

Someone warm them from below until the rain comes

               tumbling down

Art / Writing

MAKE A PLAY PLAN!

Parents, talk with your child about the plan for the day and have them tell you what they would like to do that day.  Have them draw a picture of what they would like to do and then write a message about it.  If your child isn’t writing yet, help them with writing the main sounds of the words they want to write.

WRITING THE LETTER H:  Practice making the straight lines of upper case H.  It can be a challenge to control the pencil and make the line straight!

I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I

Now make 5 upper case H and 5 lower case h.

Practice writing these words that start with H.

hat   hot   hand   hard    hike

Problem Solving

MOVE AND FREEZE!

A fun game that builds self regulation and can be played anytime!

Play fun music and have the children dance.  When the music stops they have to FREEZE!  Then they start dancing again when the music plays.

Social Emotional

Do you remember to say “please” when you are asking for something?  Do you remember to say “thank you” when someone does something kind for you?

Who can you say “thank you” to today?  Draw a picture of you and the person you said thank you to, and bring it to class to show!
