Week of March 1-5th
This Month we are going to start our Family Theme. This means we will be reading books and watching videos about families, talking about how families are the same and how they are different, and talking about the different things families can do.

Art / Writing
Self Portrait: Have child draw a picture of their self. Encourage child to add color and more details to their picture.
Math / Science
Sink or float: Turn your kitchen into a science lab. Gather up some items like a metal spoon, plastic spoon, block, small toy, and a plastic cup or bowl. Fill up the sink with a few inches of water. Ask your child to predict whether each item will sink or float and then test out the prediction.
MONDAY ACTIVITY: This is an Art activity
About ME: Talk to your child about their age, birthdate, what City they live in. I encourage you to also share information about yourself with your child like . You can even show them pictures if you have any.

TUESDAY ACTIVITY: Math Activity
Math: Counting the Calendar: It’s the start of a new Month Have your child count the days in March. Point to random numbers and ask what this number is? Have child Jump or clap
Movement / Play
WEDNESDAY ACTIVITY: Music and Movement
Scarf Dancing: Play music and let child dance with scarfs
Language / Literacy
THURSDAY ACTIVITIES: Literacy Activity
Read a book to your child or have child read a book to you. Ask your child questions about the book such as “What part of the story did you like” “what would you do if..”
FRIDAY ACTIVITY: Literacy Activity
Letter Scavenger Hunt Find Items in around your house that begin with the Letter O.
