- Read Story Lab: What We Wear, (Active Listening), Tools of the Mind Portal Child section. Talk about clothes you wear that represents your culture. (1-3 times a week for 20 minutes)
2. Play I Have Who Has Bakery Vocabulary, Tools of the Mind Child Section. While playing have your child read each picture out loud to build vocabulary.

Math / Science
- Talk about the number 6. Practice counting to 6. Take a piece of paper and rip into 6 pieces (if child needs help rip 6 pieces for child). Practice one to one correspondence by pointing/touching each paper.
- Practice drawing a Hexagon , make a picture using only Hexagon shapes. Talk to your child about what a Hexagon looks like; make observations. Remind your child that a hexagon has 6 sides.
(10 minutes 3 times a week)
Art / Writing
- Practice Writing the letter R Upper Case: Down, Around, Stop, Slant. Lowercase: Down, Up, Curve. Talk about the sound the letter R makes. Write down as many words or draw a picture of things that begin with the letter R.
- Practice writing name. First, write their name and last name on a piece of paper. Then, have child practice writing name below.
(Time 10 minutes/ daily)
Problem Solving
- Play with the tangrams. Use the shapes from the bucket to put together a puzzle from the box.
- Draw dots on a piece of paper and connect all the dots using a line.
