Volume 11

April 12, 2021

Teacher: Laura Martin  Winter Volume 11

Hello Parents,

Kristin, from Seattle Public Library, will be with us in class on Monday April 12th.  We  always love the librarian visits, and it’s a great reminder to us all about the importance of daily reading for our preschoolers.

Also, our April Parent Meeting will be Tuesday April 27th, from 4:00 – 5:00 pm. And we will have a special visitor from Seattle Public Library there as well.   I will put the zoom link here and will also email it to you the day of the meeting.

Join Zoom Meeting on April 27th

TAKING TURNS

Sometimes it’s hard to wait and take turns.

Sometimes you might want to be first all the time.

WAITING WHILE SOMEONE ELSE HAS A TURN SHOWS RESPECT AND KINDNESS!

TAKING TURNS ACTIVITY:

  • Parents invite your child to build a tower with you with blocks or build a long snake on the floor with sticks
  • Explain to your child the pattern of each of you taking a turn, one by one
  • As you build, don’t straighten or fix what your child does. She learns a lot about balance when the tower falls
  • If she starts to place two blocks one after another, remind him, “wait, remember, it’s my turn now”.
