Volume 10

April 7, 2021

Teacher: Laura Martin  Winter Volume 10

Hello Parents,

April is here!  I’m excited  to try some new things in class this month with the theme of springtime.  We’ll be “going” outside into my garden to study how things grow.  We’ll also study different bugs, and butterflies too.

For those going to kindergarten, this is the time to think about what you need to do to get ready. Please reach out if you have questions.  In class we’ll be focusing on the sounds of letters and writing numbers 1-25.

As always, thank you for letting me partner with you!

Happy learning!

Art / Writing

15 minutes

Practice writing your name!

If you already know how to write your first name then practice writing your first and last name together.

Remember that the first letter is upper case and then the others are lower case.

Problem Solving

COUNTING STEPS:  In your home, how many steps does it take to get from:

  • the kitchen to the living room?
  • your bedroom to the bathroom?

Do you have stairs? How many steps are there?

Go for a walk with mom or dad.  Can you take 100 steps on the sidewalk?

Social Emotional

USE YOUR WORDS!

Sometimes you have big feelings.

Big happy feelings or big angry feelings or

big disappointed feelings when you didn’t get what you wanted.

You can use words to tell someone how you feel.

Tell someone how you feel today.

Can you draw a picture of how you feel right now!
