Important information and reminders
We are closed on September 6th in observance of Labor day.
Important date: We currently plan on reopening our in person learning near the end of October. If anything changes I will let you know.
We are doing our ramp up period and are getting ready for in person learning here are a few things you can do to help your child get ready for in person.
1: When you can encourage your child/children to wear a mask. All staff and children will be required to wear a mask throughout the day at school. Here are a few ideas to help with that.
_Encourage your child to wear a mask when you go places as a family.
_Talk to your child/children about the importance of why we are wearing masks.
_Read books or listen to audiobooks about why we wear masks with your child/children.

Art / Writing
SELF-PORTRAITS
Using a mirror let the child draw themselves. Point out facial features like eyebrows and eyelashes. If they draw their whole body, add in some clothing or other accessories. Encourage your child to add more things to their pictures.
Ask your child to draw a picture of themselves each week you will be so amazed at how your
child’s drawing will change each week. You can keep the pictures each week and go back and
look at them with your child/children. Encourage them to tell you about what they have drawn.
You can encourage them to draw a picture of their family also.
Movement / Play
Making a paper airplane.
There are many ways to make paper airplanes. This is just a very simple 4 step instructions way to do it. Encourage your child to help ypu and ask them to fold the paper and press the paper down using the fine motor muscles. Also encourage them to hold and squeeze their airplane before the throw their airplane. One last thing encourage your child to write their name on the paper airplane.
